Pin All the Things 9/16/12 {Fall}

This week I'm blogging from Illinois.  Peter and I are celebrating our first wedding anniversary and the birth of my niece Reilly Sue.  I also had a severe craving for fall like weather.  If I wasn't so busy at work in October I probably would have timed our trip for Halloween since it's my favorite fall holiday.

The weather is a little bit gloomy and cloudy right now but the temperature is perfect!  The only thing missing is the fall foliage.  It's just too early for the pretty oak and maple leaves that can be found around my hometown.

Fall has been on my mind all week in preparation of my trip up north so I couldn't help put Pin some fall inspirations:

This painting looks a bit like late October. Chilly and damp.

All this front porch needs are some pumpkins!

Perhaps a couple decorated like this? These could certainly stick around well after Halloween has passed.

This road reminds of the one past my Dad's house. There is a maple syrup farm that I like to bike too when they have a batch of maple candy ready. I think they went of business last year though. Sad.

Since I'm not going to find many fall colored leaves in Florida I guess I'll just have to make some of my own. My whole living room is fall themed. I just love those colors and the smells found in fall.

If I can find an old book I can bear cutting up, I plan on making this wreath. I'll be displaying it indoors though because it looks like a lot of work I would hate to see ruined by rain and faded by sun.

Do you like fall?I can't wait to get out the rest of my fall decor and start planning for Halloween and Thanksgiving.

  1. I love fall, too! I hate that FL doesn't get one. I have made it my goal to make a trip every October to some place that has real fall. The past two years I've gone to Washington, DC, and this year I'll be visiting my friend in Cleveland. We're gonna be visiting a nearby Amish town (I've always been fascinated by the Amish, but since FL doesn't have any, I've never gotten to see any) and that should be pretty during the fall.
