Eerie Eyed Wreath and Printables

I 'm pretty sure I saw this project in a family magazine like Woman's Day or Family Circle.  I always get suckered into buying any magazine with pumpkins or Halloween on it when I'm in the checkout lane.  It's like they look at me with puppy dog eyes and beg me to buy them.  Little do they know that they'll soon be under the knife (okay! scissors) and their pages stripped from their bindings to be placed in my Halloween project scrap book.  

But It's my Birthday!

Today's my birthday!  Don't tell my mother I'm 31.  I bought some funfetti Halloween themed cake mix so I decided to make myself a cake.  Mostly because i was craving cake and I like baking.  I needed the cake making practice.  I'll post the recipe and how-to later.

Living in a small apartment really sucks.  I love Halloween but it's impossible for me to decorate my place.  I used to have a ton of Halloween decor but I had to leave it behind when I moved to Florida.  Slowly I have been amassing more Halloween decor.  I can't help it.  It's an addiction.

Butter Rum Pumpkins

I was craving some pumpkin or spice cake since it's fall and all and it's my favorite season.  I love the smell of the spices.  It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.  Then I mentioned my craving to my husband and he went, "Bleh!".  And then so did my roommate.  So I did the next best thing and made rum cakes in the shape of pumpkins!  I just knew my husband would not object to any recipe that would necessitate the purchase of rum. Which means many shout outs of "Where'd the rum go?!" randomly throughout the day.  *le sigh*

Bzzagent Review: Glade Expressions

One of my most favorite things to do is to smell all the things in the air freshener aisle at the grocery store. I love buying candles and wall plug-ins that will make my home smell wonderful. Domestic Violence Awareness Month {Love is NOT Abuse Cookies}

I can't believe that it's October once again.  This year has flown by!  This is a busy month for me as a Domestic Violence Advocate because October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month.  Our agency plans a lot of community events to get the message out and to let folks know that there is help out there and that love is not abuse.

Goodbye Summer {Strawberry Lemonade Cake}

I spent the last week of summer in my hometown. I so needed a vacation! I missed all my family and desperately wanted to see my Mom and my new niece. I was also craving some fall like weather.
