Thanksgiving Recipe Roundup 2012

Thanksgivingroundupsnoopy

I don't know what you have planned for Thanksgiving but I can tell you I plan on serving more than just popcorn and toast.

I don't have many recipes for Holiday food on this blog but I do have a very large Thanksgiving Pinterest board.  There are so many delicious looking recipes out there that I just can't decide what I want to make this year!

Here are some of my favorites, from my blog and from around the interwebz:

Das V-8 Stew (a post written by my Husband)

I'm feeling severely lazy tonight so my husband helped me out by writing the following.  I think he did a great job.  All pictures and pictured food are me, all opinions his=)  -H

"V-8 Stew"
a guest post by Mr. Penguin
aka The Husband

My wife, in case you readers don't know this already, is a wonderful cook.  She's brought dozens of her own recipes into out marriage, as well as taking on many of my family's classic dishes.  This one, however, is one of hers; V-8 Stew.  It's so-called, appropriately enough, because the key ingredient is V-8 vegetable juice.

Cheesy 'Crack' Potatoes

The most wonderful potato recipe in the whole wide world is cheesy party potatoes.  The thing is I don';t think that they should just be relegated to parties.  Also, they are quite addictive and like crack, not good for you!  Well, maybe good for the soul.  They are certainly a comfort food.  A sometimes food.

Meaty & Loafy

Lots of people don't like meatloaf. I've never understood why. It's meat, a loaf of meat that can be smothered in ketchup, slapped between two slices of bread and best of all goes awesomely with mashed potatoes. I'm not sure whats better meatloaf fresh out of the oven or cold the next day on a sandwich. I have to admit that it makes a spectacular sandwich and is one of my favorite lunches.
